hearts out on Saturday 24 April to raise £600 for Whitegates College,
thecollege in Worksop run by local autism charity NORSACA. 20th April 2010 Ladies Tee Off to Support
Children with Autism Lady golfers raised £750 for local
autism charity NORSACA at Mapperley Golf Club on Tuesday 13
April. The club’s Lady Captain for the year, Jane Davies,
organised the event to raise funds for Sutherland House School, the
specialist school for 94 pupils with autism run by the charity.

and Leisure conference to give parents and professionals more
information about leisure activities and autism. Update - 5th March: Please note, due to securing additional funding, tickets for this event are now FREE! 18th January 2010 Dog helps owner prepare for challenge of a lifetime Over the last year, loyal dog Benji has been helping his owner, Phil Carpenter of Long Eaton, prepare for the challenge of a lifetime. At the end of February, Phil will be swapping his suit and tie for a waterproof jacket and hiking boots when he sets out to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for young people with autism. 14th Janary 2010 The Carlton site of Sutherland House School will reopen tomorrow (Friday 15th January). However, due to the cold weather, taxis will not be able to get access to the school via Lancaster Road. Vehicles will need to continue up Carlton Hill and turn right at Dale View Road. If taxis are able to pick pupils up a little later it will help us to stagger the arrival times of the pupils. The Ravenshead site will be open from 10.00am tomorrow (Friday 15th January) morning. 13th January 2010 The Carlton and Ravenshead sites of Sutherland House School will be closed tomorrow (Thursday 14th January) due to freezing temperatures and ice which have caused treacherous conditions on roads, pavements and carparks. We will reassess the situation tomorrow. 13th October 2009 Planning for the Future Event Students with Autism from Whitegate's College in Worksop had the opportunity yesterday to find out more about the options open to them after finishing their studies. 13th October 2009 More Support for Adults with Autism as Mundy Street in Heanor Opens Autism charity NORSACA is pleased to announce the opening of Mundy Street in Heanor, a new centre for adults and young people with autism. 3rd September 2009 Worksop Fun Run to Benefit NORSACA NORSACA has been chosen as the official charity of the Worksop Fun Run. 1st August 2009 The Government is looking for your help and advice in

delighted to announce that BBC
Children in Need have awarded them a grant of £30,095 over three years.
The grant will support NORSACA’s summer play scheme for children with
autism.
22nd April 2009 Artwork produced by artists with
autism will be
exhibited at Newark Library in Beaumond Gardens from April 28th to May
21st. All of the artwork has been produced by students with autism from
Sutherland House School and Whitegates College, a specialist school and
college run by autism charity NORSACA.

raise funds towards a residential respite facility for people with
autism.
31st March 2009 We are very pleased to report the
successful move from
the Westward site of Sutherland House School to our new premises, Harby

19th March 2009 To mark the 2nd annual World Autism Awareness Day,
regional autism charity NORSACA has organised a one day conference for
parents, carers and young people (aged 16+) and adults with Autistic
