Counselling Service

This is a specialist service for people (16 years and above) whose lives are affected by autism. These include people who themselves have autism, including Aspergers Syndrome, as well as parents and carers of family members who have autism. The service offers the opportunity to work with a counsellor who has extensive knowledge of autism.

Counselling is an opportunity for people to talk in private about themselves and their situation. The Counsellor listens and offers support to help people explore their difficulties and look at ways they may be resolved.

Counselling cannot guarantee to solve everyone’s problems. However it offers invaluable support to some people and complements a variety of other services available.
