Early Years Parent Programme – Session 1

Date: Monday 5th October – 9.30am – 11.30am

Venue: Retford Central Children’s Centre, Arlington Way, Retford, Nottinghamshire DN22 6EA

A series of 8 sessions for parents of children (between the ages of 2 and 5) on the Autistic Spectrum living in Nottinghamshire.

Topics covered include: Understanding ASD, Communication, Interactive Play, Behaviour, Health and Education, Parents’ Feelings and Emotions and How to Access Help.

Understanding Challenging Behaviour Course

A one-day course for support workers, families, volunteers and other professionals who have to work with aggressive and / or challenging service users.

Designed to provide comprehensive information on factors underlying challenging behaviour in people with autism.

A Survivors Guide to Autism and Difficult Behaviour – Session 1

Date: Friday 9th October – 10.00am – 2.00pm (bring your own lunch)

Venue: Park Hall Autism Resource Centre, Park Road, Bestwood Village, Nottingham NG6 8TQ

For parents/carers of a child with a diagnosis of ASD. The sessions help parents gain a better understanding of the reasons for their child’s behaviour and explore ways in which stress can be managed.

The course consists of 2 sessions.

Worksop Half Marathon and Fun Run

Venue: Worksop Town Centre

NORSACA is the official charity of the 2½ mile Worksop Fun Run. Runners of the half marathon can also choose to run for NORSACA.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help out on the day.
