World Autism Awareness Day 2015

It is World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) on Thursday 2 April. Celebrated worldwide, the day is dedicated to raising awareness of autism; whether it is lending a hand to raise funds to support people with autism, or helping to spread the word to increase understanding.

We are...

Autism East Midlands, (formerly NORSACA), is the largest specialist autism charity in the East Midlands and has been providing support to people affected by autism for over 45 years.

As a parent-led charity, we are totally committed to providing individuals and their families with the support they need to live their lives to the full, throughout their lives.

We do...

We offer a wide range of services designed to support people affected by autism, including family services, a specialist school, outreach and supported living services, as well as residential and day services for young people and adults with autism. We also run specialist training for parents and professionals and operate one of only a few autism-specific diagnostic and assessment centres in the country.

Our vision

A world which recognises, understands and values people with autism, and where they, and their families, receive the services and support they need throughout their lives
